Brooke Baggenstoss, ISA AM is a USPAP-compliant appraiser and Accredited Member of the ISA (International Society of Appraisers); this combination of education and experience meet the IRS parameters for a qualified appraiser. This means I have taken appraisal theory classes and have been tested to a high standard on both my knowledge of subject matter and the nuts and bolts of appraising, and I am required to adhere to a code of ethics put forth by the ISA:
I am a generalist appraiser with 20+ years experience in the field - primarily in the auction market, personal reselling as a dealer, working for a prominent estate jeweler, and writing estate appraisals for high net worth trusts and families in the Seattle area for a prominent ISA appraiser there. As a resident of Portland (I'm a fifth generation resident) I appraise antiques and household contents including furniture and decorative art, as well as many types of fine art and jewelry.I am a proud graduate of the art history program at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Each appraisal requires a measured approach to ascertain the values of individual pieces to large accumulations over lifetimes. As an experienced appraiser, I am able to assist you in determining what type of appraisal is appropriate for your unique situation.
I am able to travel to your location - whether you are in Portland, Vancouver and points around the northwest - and provide families and individuals with a wide array of services including consultations concerning downsizing, valuation services, and sale placement to get the highest value for personal property, from household items to fine antiques and art objects.
