Sale Details

This is a one of a kind sale. Located on an estate in the Willamette Valley wine country, just 30 minutes southwest of Portland. Members of Oregon’s premiere rug merchant family, have spent decades collecting and are now downsizing their estate.

There are some truly exceptional Persian rugs on site, ranging from a 1600 knot count persian miniature to a massive 15’ x 15’ 325 knot count Ketabi Kerman that literally took years to weave and the 3’ x 24’ multipanel Kerman runner, the single longest rug I’ve ever had the pleasure of selling. A personal favorite of mine is the Persian ‘tree of life,’ rug that you will find displayed in the property’s warehouse.

The living room contains multiple Chinese antiques, from the Qing Dynasty monastery courtyard door in a display frame to the largest single Scroll Table you are likely to find anywhere in a PacNW private collection. There is also an incredibly intricate cabinet with traditional carving. A circa-1990s Steinway Grand Piano in Ebony, immaculately maintained and flawless.

The family spent years amassing their collection on Luo Ming-Yao inkwash paintings. These traditional landscapes date to the 1980s, when Luo Ming-Yao was an artist in residence at the Portland Art Museum, helping people in the Pacific Northwest learn about art from mainland China.

A one of a kind wall-hanging rug, designed by Dale Chihuly, 100% silk, in a size never released to the public.

There is a wonderful, large, early nude from renowned Portland artist, Laura Ross-Paul. Very rare to see anything of this size available for sale.

An Edward Quigley painting of horses, signed by the artist to late governor Vic Atiyeh

The family’s library of reference books, used to inform the designs of their rugs, are all on site. One could earn their doctorate in textile art history from this collection. Some of these books are very rare and a few are signed by the authors. Unbelievably beautiful to look through.

Custom mahogany bedroom storage from Portland company, The Joinery.

Kubota zero-turn 48” deck lawn tractor, Commander Pro, model Z411 with trailer.

Three 19th century Kesi  silk panels, in incredible condition.

1960-70s communist propaganda posters

A traditional curved Arabian dagger in a marquetry box.

Syrian Marquestry table.

There is so much here, it's impossible (really time consuming, if I'm being honest) to list it all.

There are many large and expensive items on site, and because of that, I will be conducting live negotiations during the sale. Respectful offers will be entertained.

All sales are "as-is."

No list. Get there early. Please reach out with any questions. The address will be released at 7 AM Friday morning.

I look forward to seeing all of you on Friday morning.
